Lab Technician

Lab Technician: Entry Level, on-the-job training!
Job Function:
To adjust and finalize color submissions through the use of lab equipment, as well as perform quality control
functions.
The position is in Addison IL
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learn how to color match, using pigments, dyes, and other ingredients.
2. Measure out specific quantities of ingredients, using lab scales.
3. Learn how to use technical lab equipment such as viscometers, spectrophotometers, and more.
4. Learn how to qualify production batches in QC.
5. Learn how to run injection molding machines.
6. Learn how to make lab batches for customer trials.
7. Clean work area as needed, and follow all safety rules and regulations.
8. File folders, chips, paperwork.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-2 years prior experience in a lab environment preferred and
plastics industry experience highly desirable.
2. Ability to see color accurately (Munsell test given when interviewing).
3. Strong number perception, basic math and measurement skills, positive attitude, enthusiasm, and good
communication skills.
